Michael Woodford OBE, The former President and CEO of the Olympus Corporation, who was forced to blow the whistle on his own company, and in doing so exposed a $1.7 billion fraud. He was awarded 'Business Person of the Year' in The Independent, The Sunday Times, The Sun and was the Financial Times 'Boldness in Business' winner' in 2012. He is author of Business and the Human Rights Act (2000) and is Consulting Editor of UK Human Rights Reports and Chairman of Public Concern at Work, the whistleblowing charity, and the Social Welfare Law Coalition. He is Vice Chairman of the International Bar Association's CSR committee. Michael was made a Commander of the British Empire in 2009 in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to legal pro bono work.
