Prior to joining WXYZ, Michael worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WJRT-TV in Flint, and as weekend anchor at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Michael grew up in Boston, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, and obtained a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
