Michael Ronan is the regional director, Channel Development for Latin American and Global Export, where he is responsible for the Starbucks' packaged goods business in grocery, mass, club, drug, convenience and specialty retail channels in the Latin American region.
is also responsible for managing the global export of products that are sold in these channels around the world.
Alongside and in collaboration with the Starbucks
retail team, his
team brings the Starbucks blueprint for growth to life in this exciting part of the world.
Prior to this role, Michael served as vice president, Business Integration, where he led a corporate team focused on the integration of acquired companies and assets into Starbucks or integrated operations with strategic partners.
The acquisitions and strategic projects that Michael
team worked on since he
has been with the company include the Brazil retail equity buy-back, integration of the CPG business from Kraft, the launch of Starbucks K-Cups, the acquisition of Evolution Fresh
and the acquisition of La Boulange
Prior to joining Starbucks in March of 2010, Michael held leadership positions at Microsoft, Dell, AonHewitt and Mercer Consulting.
is originally from Chicago, IL., but has lived overseas in Argentina, Paraguay, Venezuela, the UK and Brazil.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Management from Penn State University.
is married with two children has been an active member of the executive board of directors for Special Olympics Washington
since January 2012.
