Michael I. Moffett, M.Ed., Professor
A record-setting athlete during the 1970's at Plymouth State University
went on to teach and coach for several years in both public and parochial high schools, and later on at Plymouth State University
and at a Marine Corps summer school for officer candidates.
A Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Reserves, he commanded a ground unit during the Persian Gulf Conflict after being activated for Operation Desert Storm.
Professor Moffett is an experienced sports writer, having served as a reporter and columnist for the Coos County Democrat and the N.H. Times, before publishing his own Sports Monthly in 1986 - The N.H. Score.
From 1986-93 he served as Sports Information Director for Plymouth State University and was the first publicist for the Freedom Football Conference.
From 1993-94 Professor Moffett served as an assistant producer for sports programming for the Yankee Cable Network before coming to NHTI in 1994 as Public Information Officer and later Assistant to the President.
was instrumental in the development of NHTI
's Sports Management Program, and has taught in the program since it began in 1997.
He also served as the head coach of the NHTI Lynx men's basketball program for three years, leading them to a berth in the National Small College Athletic Association national championship tournament in 1998.
