Michael J. Lubbers
In 2008, Lubbers joined the firm as senior designer and now operates out of Wight's Chicago office. He has been instrumental in many recent high profile Wight projects, including the College of DuPage Student Resource Center, Seaton Computing Center, the Adler Planetarium Sky Theater transformation and UNO Charter Schools. Prior to Wight, Lubbers was a managing associate and senior designer at OKW Architects in Chicago. His responsibilities included functioning as a design lead for several large urban mixed-use projects such as, the New City for Structured Development and Uptown Redevelopment for PRC Partners LLC. Additionally, he worked on commercial interiors project competitions for clients such as Motorola and Honeywell. A LEED-accredited professional, Lubbers is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He has been a member of Chicago's Society of Contemporary Art and The Architecture and Design Society, and has participated in the Design Futures Council and The Chicago Architecture Club.
