Newport Beach CPA Elected President of Orange County/Long Beach CalCPA Chapter (06.08)
Michael Klarin, CPA, of Newport Beach has been elected president of the Orange County/Long Beach Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2004-05.
Klarin succeeds Patrick Rogan, CPA, of Tustin.
Previously Klarin was the chapter's first vice president.
He also has been the chapter's treasurer, secretary and chair of the membership and tax committees.
The CalCPA Orange County/Long Beach Chapter
serves more than 3,600 members who specialize in a broad range of services14; from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include student outreach, a technology forum and a professional conference.
As a shareholder in the firm of Klarin & Associates
in Newport Beach, Klarin
provides tax preparation and tax planning services to clients around the world.
Klarin has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University.
Joining Klarin on the board of the CalCPA Orange County/Long Beach Chapter are Leonard Wright (first vice president) of Strategic Financial Group, Los Angeles; Heidi Hideshima (vice president) of U.R. my CPA, Lake Forest; Eduardo Jordon (treasurer) of Nolet Spirits USA, San Clemente; and Wendy Richards (secretary) of Richards & Associates, Huntington Beach.
