Mike Kantor Accents Options Mike Kantor knows all about exploring options. He honed that talent on the NCAA volleyball circuit as co-captain of the 1996 University of Hawaii volleyball team that finished 2nd in the nation. Now he's refining that by providing options to his commercial real estate clients. Mike is Vice President of South Bay-based Gateway Business Properties, the firm where he launched his career a decade ago. Mike provides a diverse service to his clients, whether facilitating port-related needs in the South Region, food related uses in the Central Region, or identifying that hard-to- find purchase on the Westside. "I enjoy the process of finding the right property for each client," Mike says. He also adds an upright philosophy to his services. "Being honest, direct and keeping the client's best interest in the forefront of all transactions has been integral to developing long-term relationships. I want to present a client with as many options as possible and allow them to choose what property is best for their business. Being a member of the AIR is vital to providing those options. Interestingly, being a participant in the purchase of Gateway Business Properties' new South Bay headquarters "has added another arrow to my quiver of advisory services," Mike declared. "I can now empathize with a client looking to buy a property." Among his other recent transactions was 3601 Holdrege Avenue on the Westside, featuring a purchase price in excess of $5 million, as well as the sale of a 40-room boutique hotel in the Old Torrance area for $1.3 million. Mike and his wife, Debbie, and his daughter, Kayden, almost 2, reside in Manhattan Beach. Mike attended the University of Hawaii where he earned a degree in Communications. Giving back to his community, he has consulted with the LA84 Foundation for over 15 years organizing sports programs and events serving underprivileged youth. In his leisure he enjoys beach volleyball, golf and spending time with family and friends.
