County Legislator,s Report: Mr. Hennessy stated that Ed Stephenson prefers not to come to Vernon. Mr. Hennessy then discussed the minutes from the last meeting: Mr. Hennessy accepted. 3) Mr. Hennessy also wanted to address that Mr. Croll had asked about why isn,t there an Indian Affairs Committee and why isn,t Mr. Hennessy the Chairman of that committee. 3) Mr. Hennessy also wanted to address that Mr. Croll had asked about why isn,t there an Indian Affairs Committee and why isn,t Mr. Hennessy the Chairman of that committee. Supervisor Thurston asked Mr. Hennessy if the main scope of his Committee would be informative and where are we going with it. Mr. Hennessy has a mission statement for the Committee: 1) as an advocate for the citizens of Oneida County, 2) to act as an oversight, 3) to act as a voice for tax paying business community, 4) to serve as a public information center, 5) to provide County Legislative with feedback research and 6) to explore legal settlement options. 4) Mr. Hennessy stated that he wanted to make cuts in spending so that we didn,t have the increase of 4.9% on property tax.
