Michael Biard serves as Executive Vice President, Distribution, Fox Networks where he oversees distribution of FNâ€™s 43 domestic programming services by all of the major cable, satellite, and telco operators.
He directs the business strategy and negotiations with the major distributors and works closely with all the Fox networks on wide-ranging, multi-platform distribution activities.
has direct responsibility for distribution of the Fox services on all linear and non-linear platforms, including video-on-demand, online, mobile and other emerging platforms.
A long-time Fox executive, Mr. Biard has played a key role in the growth of Fox Networks, including the successful acquisition and launch of several regional sports networks and national networks such as Big Ten Network, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo, SPEED, SPEED 2, FUEL TV, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Soccer Plus, and Fox College Sports.
Mr. Biard joined Fox as Director of Affiliate Business Affairs (2000-2001) and was promoted to Vice President of Affiliate Business Affairs (2001-2002) before transitioning to National Accounts in 2002.
He was promoted to Senior Vice President, National Accounts in 2006, became Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing in 2007, and assumed his current duties in 2010.
Before joining Fox, Mr. Biard was an attorney for Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe and, previously, Keesal, Young & Logan.
He graduated from Columbia University with a bachelorâ€™s degree in biology-psychology in 1991.
He earned a Jurist Doctorate (Cum Laude) from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 1996.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and a professionally licensed motorcycle racer, Mr. Biard
also brings his
passion for two-wheels to bear on his
professional endeavors, working closely with management at SPEED on its broad slate of exclusive motorcycle racing.
