Michael received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Public Administration from California State University Dominguez Hills. Michael has more than fourteen (14) years of experience in the public sector and has worked for the communities of Gardena, Azusa and Compton. Michael's work experience intersects the fields of Economic Development, Affordable Housing and Public Finance. Michael has managed various HUD funded programs including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) programs, as well as he has experience in administering Tax Allocation Bonds, Community Facilities Districts, disposition and acquisition of real estate properties, commercial property management experience and the development of retail neighborhood shopping centers, construction of Public Facilities/Structures and Affordable Housing units. Michael philosophy is that building relationships, trust, and rapport within the community is the most essential aspect relationship building and making connections between people and motivating others with forward momentum to 'get things done. Michael has one child and in his spare time he enjoys coaching young athletic sports (Baseball, Football & Basketball), playing golf, watching movies and traveling.
