For the next three weeks, they are staying with Rabbi Menachem Muskal, who oversees Chabad in Wellington, a small congregation based out of storefront in the Wellington Plaza.
Rabbi Muskal said he
is looking forward to working with them over the next few weeks to help them on their way to become rabbis.
"It is similar to an internship program," Muskal
said, "where they go to different communities, and they are encouraged to find out about the Jewish community and help the local rabbis of the community in order to accomplish their tasks while they are here and better serve the community. It is a fantastic program because it allows them a hands-on opportunity."
During the school year at "yeshiva," a Jewish religious school, the future rabbis will study the Torah and other holy scriptures. But book learning alone does not make you a rabbi.
"The yeshiva encourages them to go out and actually put book knowledge into action," explained Muskal
