Melissa Constanzer joined the WJFW team as the weekend meteorologist in October of 2012.
This is Melissa's first time in the Great Lakes region.

always was fascinated by the weather that surrounded her
As she got older, she noticed how weather impacts everyone's life each day and decided to attend The Pennsylvania State University and major in Meteorology.

course work, Melissa
was also involved in several clubs while at Penn State.
did frequent video productions for the Campus Weather Service and was also invited to be a student on-camera forecaster for Weather World, which airs each weeknight across Pennsylvania.
Melissa was the Community Outreach Chair for Penn State's AMS chapter.
loved being able to organize community events, such as elementary school visits, during which she
got to teach kids about the weather.
Melissa also spent a summer in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she interned under the chief meteorologist at WMGM NBC-40.
The following summer, she worked as the weekend evening meteorologist at WBRE, NBC's Wilkes-Barre affiliate.
