Maya White, MD, is the oldest child of Esther Gokhale. After serving as the head Gokhale Method teacher at the Palo Alto Center for a year, Maya studied medicine at Duke Medical School and epidemiology at Stanford. Maya is an avid athlete, and has played Ultimate frisbee and rugby at the national level. She will begin an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt in July 2015.

She also played for the Stanford Women's Rugby team that won the Collegiate National Championship in 2008. Her formal training in the Gokhale Method SM began in 2004.
