Matthew J. Mikosz, CP, LP, founder of Partial Hand Solutions and inventor of the M-Finger, Partial M-Finger and M-Thumb, is a board certified prosthetist through the American Board for Certification. Matthew Mikosz, president of US-based Partial Hand Solutions, developed the M-Finger prosthetic is response to the number of service personnel returning home with hand and finger injuries. The prototype was built with material development assistance from custom compounder RTP Company.
"While there were a number of prosthetic hand designs on the market, no functional mechanical fingers had yet been developed," said Mikosz.

Matthew J. Mikosz, CP, has joined the staff at the Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics Patient Care Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as practice manager.
A specialist in upper-extremity prosthetics, Mikosz was a staff-certified prosthetist for five years with Allied Orthotics and Prosthetics LLC, based at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, Philadelphia.During his time at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, Mikosz gained experience providing prosthetic services to many area hospitals and worked with patients from Greece, Pakistan, Israel, Chile, Japan, and Puerto Rico.
Mikosz has extensive experience with upper-extremity myoelectrics.He also worked closely with therapists and physicians in Moss Rehabilitation Hospital's gait analysis laboratory to optimize prosthetic gait for lower-extremity amputees.Mikosz is Otto Bock C-leg-certified and Utah Arm-certified.He is a member of the Upper Limb Prosthetic Society of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP).
Mikosz received a bachelor of science degree in health and fitness from Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1995 and a prosthetics certificate from the Newington Certificate Program, Newington, Connecticut, in 1997.
