Holly Berry Husbandry Pledges 15% of Profits to SNP Trust - Shenandoah National Park Trust

Matthew Boyer, Trustee on the Shenandoah National Park Trust Board, has spent his career fundraising for conservation non-profits.
His professional experiences include working for the National Park Foundation, World Wildlife Fund and the National Park Conservation Association, and he is currently Vice President of Individual Giving at American Forests. An avid hiker, Matthew founded a Washington, DC-based hiking club. He is also a camper and national park enthusiast, having visited more than 150 national park sites. In 2013, motivated by a desire to establish a small homestead where he and his family could "raise animals, grow a little of our own food, and learn about homesteading," Matthew moved from Arlington to Fredericksburg. And thus, HollyBerryHusbandry was born. While fundraising and development continue to take up weekday work hours, chicken farming has become his family's evening and weekend job. Matthew and Jim Edwards began their backyard farming operation a year ago, specializing in high quality chicks and hatching eggs that are NPIP approved. Serving on the Board of Trustees of the Shenandoah National Park Trust, Matthew said, "Each time I attend a board meeting of the Shenandoah National Park Trust, I become more impressed with the work they do.
