Lake Forest, Ill. - Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Foundation
today announced that Matthew (Matt) J. Flynn has been selected as the new Chief Financial Officer of the hospital.
, a veteran of hospital finance and administration, will assume his
new role on April 28, 2008.
Prior to his appointment Flynn served as the Chief Financial Officer for Saint Joseph Healthcare in Bangor, Maine.
brings more than 20 years of executive health care experience in research, acute care hospitals, home care, physician practice management and the health insurance industry.

In his new role, Flynn will oversee finance, information technology and managed care for Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.
professional career reflects a breadth of direct experience in raising capital for new ventures and expansions, strategic financial and capital planning, business development, as well as financial and business office process re-engineering.
Before joining Saint Joseph Healthcare, Flynn was the CFO of Franklin Memorial Hospital in Maine until 2004.
Flynn served on the teaching faculty of Husson College Graduate School of Business in Bangor, where he taught courses in health care finance, management and economics.
educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute
in Massachusetts and a Master in Business Administration from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
in New York.
Flynn replaces former CFO Sean Barden, who left to assume the position of Executive Vice President and CFO for MediCorp Health System in northern Virginia in January, 2008.
