is becoming an in demand bass player in the Boston and New England area.
has also played with local artists, playing on their recordings as well as going on tours and performing nationally on NPR's "All Things Considered".
originally comes from the southwest but came to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music
studied with the amazing bass faculty at Berklee
including: Esperanza Spalding, Jim Stinnett, Anthony Vitti, Dave Clark, and Dave Buda.
Matthew graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Professional Music with an emphasis in performance and business.
currently performs as a sideman and with local artists such as Ingrid Gerdes, Carl Eisman, the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, and wedding band Mighty Groove.
