...Matt RitterMeteorologist Matt Ritter got his big break at WGAL during the Blizzard of '93.He
worked the overnight shift, making sure viewers had the latest information. Matt RitterHe first joined News 8 as a weather assistant and began substituting on-air after graduation.He had been the weekend morning meteorologist on the weekend edition of "News 8 Today" since it premiered on Sept. 30, 1995.Matt
now reports the News 8 Storm Team Forecast every Saturday and Sunday for "News 8 at 6" and "News 8 at 11."When not on the air, he
works on the various computer systems in the weather office and attends seminars on meteorological research. Matt
is a native of Washington, D.C., but grew up in Vineland, N.J.He graduated from St. Augustine Preparatory School in 1988 and moved to Lancaster County.There, he graduated from Millersville University in December 1992, with a bachelor of science degree in meteorology.He
was involved in the Campus Weather Service and WIXQ-FM, the campus radio station.
