Mary Hubbard is a nationally board certified social studies teacher (2000) at the Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA) in Birmingham.
In 2001, she
was a presidential appointee to the National Endowment for the Humanities Council
, and in 2000 was selected as a recipient of the "Teacher of Merit Award," given by the Alabama Association of Historians
Hubbard has served as a faculty consultant for the advanced placement modern European history reading since 1998, and in 2008 was appointed to the American Bar Association's Standing Committee/Advisory Commission on Public Education.
She received a bachelor's degree in history and English from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a master's degree in Gifted Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
