Appreciating the efforts that the country has made in reducing HIV prevalence in the country, NACC Chairperson Prof. Mary Getui urged participants to develop integrated approaches that will serve the different spheres of the society and in particular those hindering the attainment of zero HIV infections in Kenya.
"The preliminary KAIS 2012 Report is a reflection on what we have done well, the gaps and what we need to do well moving forward to achieve zero target in the country", said Getui. However, she reminded participants not to celebrate the achievements but work extra hard to address the existing gaps in their interventions if the war on AIDS was to be won.
