June 16, 2016 Mary Frantz to speak about Big Data at AXFI Conference
Minneapolis - June 26-29, 2016 - Mary Frantz, founding partner and CEO of EKP, LLC will speak about Big Data and the orgins of Hadoop at the Analytics and Financial Innovation Conference (AXFI) conference on June 28, 2016. For more information, see http://www.axficonference.com/ Mary Frantz, founder of EKP, named a top leader in STEM "I am forever grateful for the help, mentorship and the luck I received on my path to where I am today," said Frantz. "The journey is not over, by far, but I am proud to say that I am at the point where I can give back. The publication seeks to highlight exceptional leaders who are contributing to the advancement of STEM careers. Frantz has been a coach and mentor to STEM students for many years, particularly young women and minorities. She recalls that as a college student, she was encouraged to leave her name off a research paper so no one would realize she was a woman. The paper ended up winning her a scholarship, but that experience and others like it have motivated her to support a new generation of young women. "As the CEO of a company who attends and speaks at technology and cyber security conferences, I can see that in 2016 there are still only a handful of women and minorities in high tech - and even fewer in cyber security," Frantz said. "Given the existing shortage and the insatiable need for STEM talent, particularly in information technology and security, we can't afford to leave anyone out of the conversation. EKP's Mary Frantz among 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year winners RALEIGH, N.C. - March 1, 2016 - Mary Frantz, managing partner of Enterprise Knowledge Partners, LLC (EKP), was recently named by Enterprising Women magazine as one of 2016's Enterprising Women of the Year. The annual awards are a tribute to the world's top women entrepreneurs. Honorees were recognized at the 14th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration & Conference at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida. "I was totally humbled to be a part of the group at the International Symposium," Frantz said. "I wouldn't have placed myself anywhere near this group. It was an honor and a crossing over for a minority woman like me who bootstrapped her own company. To be considered for the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Frantz built EKP, a management consulting services firm focused on IT, security, compliance, and electronic discovery, from a the ground up. The firm is now frequently utilized by some of the top companies in health care, financial services, manufacturing, energy and more. Today, Frantz is able to share her experiences as both a single mother and a woman in the male-dominated technology world as an inspiration to a new generation of young women. She mentors girls and minorities in technical and robotic fields and encourages them to take advantage of every opportunity. "When I work with young women, it sounds weird, but I just encourage them to show up," Frantz said. "Chris has really made a name for himself in this space, and we're glad to add him to our team full time," said Mary Frantz, managing partner at EKP. "Keatron is a thought leader in security and considered an expert by most of the top vendors in the space," said Mary Frantz, managing partner of EKP.
