Marwan Adli, the former warden of the Narcotics Penitentiary on Nusakambangan Island - Indonesia's Alcatraz - has been sentenced to thirteen years in prison for assisting a drug ring operating inside the penitentiary, and money laundering.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of 10 billion rupiah [about £710,000]. Adli says that he will appeal: "I feel that this sentence is too much for me.
