This fund honors the life and work of Rabbi Marvin Richardson. Rabbi Richardson served Ahavath Achim Synagogue in Atlanta, the East Brunswick Jewish Center and the Jericho Jewish Center. While living in Israel, he worked with various educational organizations sponsoring programs for American students. He passed away on February 13, 2014. Your donation honors his memory and supports scholarships to the Conservative Yeshiva.

Rabbi Marvin Richardson

Marvin Richardson was born in New York and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Johns Hopkins University where he received an undergraduate degree in Physiological Psychology. He obtained his M.A. in His
tory and Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1974, after which he served as educational director for congregations in St. Louis and Chicago.
He returned to the Seminary to obtain his ordination and then took the position as Assistant Rabbi at Ahavath Achim Synagogue, Atlanta Georgia. Following a six-year tenure in Atlanta, Rabbi Richardson moved to Israel where he worked with a number of various educational organizations sponsoring programs for American students in Israel.
In 1996 the Richardsons returned to the United States to accept a position as Associate Rabbi at the East Brunswick Jewish Center where he served until accepting the position of Rabbi at the Jericho Jewish Center.
Rabbi Richardson is married to Maureen Stahl and has two children, Michal and Yael.
