Marvin Graves

Marvin Graves joined the Cardinals coaching staff in 2008 and brings years of experience to his position as quarterbacks coach. The local product and graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School attended Syracuse University where he was a record-setting quarterback for the Orange. He started all four seasons after red shirting his freshman year and was a three-time bowl game MVP. As a junior, he ranked second in the nation in passing efficiency, was the Davey O'Brien Award (national quarterback of the year) runner-up and a Heisman Trophy candidate.
After graduating with his degree in child and family studies, Graves was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He played eight seasons in the CFL before returning to Washington, D.C., and coached at a number of area high schools and ran quarterback clinics.
Graves and his wife, Nicole, reside in Washington, D.C., with their four daughters.

The most unforgettable of the series game came in 1992 when Syracuse won a disputed 20-17 victory that involved a melee ignited by SU quarterback Marvin Graves that was so violent that one Syracuse player used a cast on his arm to maul WVU's Mike Collins on the sideline.
