Marty Oliphant ii
Marty Oliphant currently serves as the Director of Programs at HUGS (Help, Understanding Group Support) that focuses on the needs of families who have at least one child with a serious illness.
He served as the Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers, Hawai'i Chapter for over three years.
Marty is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hawaii Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work and the University of Phoenix.
Marty has worked 19 years in the field of social work.

(Honolulu & Maui) and YMCA
After obtaining his masters degree in social work, he worked in intervention programs.
Marty was the Director for the Children's Justice Center of Oahu for 2 ½ years.
He worked with Child Welfare Services as an investigator of child abuse and neglect cases for 2 years.
actively participates in community capacity building, provides training/consultation and volunteers at community events.
