He also served as a Biologist Program Director for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries during cleanup and recovery efforts from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
is recognized as a Certified Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society
, recognized as an Environmental Professional and Technical Service Provider in Louisiana, and a master bird bander for Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi.
In addition to his membership in LWF, Mr. Floyd is a former president of the Louisiana Association of Professional Biologists, former president of the Rapides Wildlife Association, current Vice President of the Louisiana Ornithological Society, and a member of many other organizations such as - Avoyelles Wildlife Federation, The Wildlife Society, Ducks Unlimited, Sierra Club, the American Ornithologists Union.
