a 25-year Industry Veteran Mr. Averbuch is a founder of the International Securities Exchange (ISE) and president and CEO of Adirondack Trading Partners, LLC, a consortium formed to finance the International Securities Exchange and act as a specialist/market-maker on the exchange.He
has been involved in international business for more than 25 years, as well as entrepreneurial experience in financial services and manufacturing. Prior to the formation of ISE, Mr. Averbuch was with E*TRADE Group, Inc. from 1993 to 1998, serving in various senior management roles including being vice president of On-Line Ventures, vice president - Special Projects, and president of E*TRADE Capital, Inc., where he was responsible for domestic markets and international expansion of the E*TRADE brand. Mr. Averbuch has served as a member of the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Law School, on the Advisory Board of Roundtable Partners LLC, and on the Board of Directors for Knight/Trimark Group, Inc., as well as on Boards of several startup companies.Formerly a professor in the Finance Department of Hofstra University, Mr. Averbuch received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Chicago in 1977.
