In a report due to appear in next week's Gazette (hey, we got the scoop), Martin Van Nierop, director of Information and Public Affairs, writes: "The first renovation of SCH since it was built in 1967 is already under way and will see significant changes to the bookstore, gift shop, tunnel passageway, entranceways, a new elevator stop for the disabled, plus a shift in accommodation for Marlin Travel and the UW Visitors Centre now at the School of Optometry.

UW is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all patrons to the campus pubs, and bears the full legal responsibility under the Liquor License Act. "This is an accountability issue," said Van Nierop, "What we would like to do is work with the leadership of the student union to ensure the safety and security of all patrons to the Bombshelter and Fed Hall.
