NBCE Selects New Executive Vice President
Greeley, CO â€" National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) President Dr. Norman Ouzts announced today that Martin W. Kollasch, D.C., was selected to be the new executive vice president effective January 1, 2014, succeeding Horace C. Elliott, who is retiring.
Dr. Kollasch is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and is a Ph.D. candidate in Organizational Performance and Change at Colorado State University. Dr. Kollasch was in private practice from 1987 until 1998 when he accepted a position with the NBCE. He is currently NBCEâ€™s Director of Written Examinations and Director of International Operations. He is responsible for the paper-and-pencil and/or computer-based pre- and post-licensure examinations for the chiropractic profession and internationally. As part of these duties, he has been a researcher and co-author of several national practice analysis survey studies and reports. The NBCE board conducted a nationwide search to fill the executive vice president (EVP) position. The EVP is the chief operating officer and senior staff member of the organization and is responsible for implementing policies and achieving goals set by the board of directors. The EVP also oversees the administrative and operational programs and procedures of the NBCE. In announcing the selection of Dr. Kollasch, Dr. Ouzts stated that, â€œThe NBCE Board joins me in congratulating Dr. Kollasch on his selection.
