Marshall Malone, former owner of Teasy Teas and Alabama Chai, has joined the Royal Cup team as its Tea Category Manager.
"Our acquisition of Teasy Teas not only provides us with an increased catalog of premium teas to meet that demand, but also positions Marshall Malone within the organization to help us maintain our upward trajectory in the tea market." Founded in New England, Marshall Malone's Teasy Teas - formerly known as Portsmouth Tea Company - moved to Birmingham in 2012. Malone, an Alabama native, recognized that his unique talents would be best utilized when backed by the resources of a company like Royal Cup. "I spent over a decade growing Teasy Teas from just an idea into a company that serviced over 6,000 consumers, including hotels, inns and cafés across the United States," said Marshall Malone, tea category manager at Royal Cup. Founded in 2004 by Marshall Malone, Teasy Teas is currently headquartered in Birmingham, Ala. following a relocation from New England in 2012.

Marshall Malone, founder of Teasy Teas, brewing at Hart and Soul Coffee Shop in Homewood | New England favorite Teasy Teas comes home to Birmingham
New England favorite Teasy Teas comes home to Birmingham - Community News - Magic City Post After visiting single estate tea plantations in Sri Lanka and months of testing flavor blends, Marshall Malone founded his tea company in 2004. The Birmingham native had taken a job requiring a hiatus from the South, landing him in New Hampshire. Malone's background was in marketing, but his passion was brewing tea, and the Portsmouth Tea Company was born. The company had a devout following in New England, but after 14 years away from home, Malone was ready to come back to Birmingham and be near family. Fortunately for the Magic City, he brought his tea with him. Renamed "Teasy Teas," Malone's business is back in full force as an online purveyor of fine blends, many customized by Malone. His meticulous attention to detail and refined palate of flavors led to pharmaceutical grade teas that brew clean and gluten free. "From black tea-by far the most consumed in America-to green, herbal and fruit blends, I've got a tea for even the most dedicated coffee drinker," said Malone.
