"We wanted to adapt Izzy's look to more of something you would find here in South Texas," said Marshall Collins, university spokesman and vice president of marketing.

The administration with the athletic department and cheerleading program staff came together and decided on the surfer look, Collins
Izzy's outfit won't have a mascot head anymore.
Izzy will be students, both male and female, in a costume that features board shorts, a rash-guard shirt, flip-flops, maybe even sunglasses, Collins
