said revenue increased at three hotels he
operates since the tax took effect.He
said customers have not complained about the tax, which is standard in the industry.
"(The tax) has had no effect on us at Willow Valley," Thomas
testified."In our industry, it's almost assured that there is going to be a tax."
As proposed, the project includes construction of the publicly owned center at South Queen and East Vine streets.Penn Square Partners proposed construction of a $45 million privately owned luxury hotel in the former Watt & Shand department store in Penn Square.The two buildings would be attached.
