Dr. Marvin Hotle | Dr. Marlin Hotle
Dr. Marlin Hotle Diversity is a word that best describes the ministry of Dr. Marlin Hotle. He has been a successful teacher, pastor, author and editor. Marlin Hotle was called into ministry at an early age while growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended God's Bible School and did graduate work at Bob Jones University. For 15 years, he was a pastor. He is the author of seven books and a host of published articles. His editing experience includes a line of Sunday School literatures and the publication for the Christian Holiness Partnership, The Holiness Digest. He was also a college professor and Dean of Academic Affairs at a holiness Bible college. In 1996 Dr. Hotle became the Executive Director of Christian Holiness Partnership (CHP). The roots of this organization began in 1867 as a means of promoting holiness within the camp meeting movement. Today, the organization's mission remains the same and supports holiness within denominations, international missionary agencies, colleges, seminaries and holiness publishing houses. During his six years of leadership at CHP, Dr. Hotle chaired the executive committee that produced the Reflecting God NIV Study Bible and its accompanying materials. This study Bible follows the NIV Study Bible format but contains Wesleyan-Arminian footnotes, essays and commentary. Currently Dr. Hotle is a District Superintendent of the Tennessee District of The Wesleyan Church. He is Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of Kentucky Mountain Bible College, one of the "sister" organizations of Indian Springs. He is married to the former Darla Grubb. They have two daughters and five granddaughters. Marlin was an avid golfer but due to an uncooperative surgery, he now enjoys walking but without clubs.
