Mark B. Van Kirk joined the firm in July 2014 as Head of FHA programs including Conventional, Affordable, Hospitals, Healthcare, and Seniors lending, as well as the firm's Asset and Risk Management operations.
is responsible for driving the firm's FHA production, as part of the firms' commitment to the FHA business and overall expansion strategy.
In addition, Mark
is responsible for managing the firm's Asset and Risk Management platform of the growing $27 billion loan portfolio.
Mark most recently served at the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) in the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Division since 2012, as the Office of Asset Management and Portfolio Oversight (OAMPO) Director.
was responsible for managing the $87 billion asset portfolio and the counterparty oversight of the FHA Multifamily and Healthcare lenders as well as the reorganizing the FHA multifamily asset management platform.
Prior to his role at HUD- FHA, he spent eight years at Pillar Multifamily, LLC (formerly Bulls Capital Partners (BCP)) in Vienna, Virginia as the Chief Operating Officer.
In 2004, Mark Co-Founded BCP which he
partner sold to Pillar
He was responsible for establishing the Fannie Mae DUS program there, growing the portfolio to more than $750 million.

From 1992-1997, Mark served as Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in the Regulatory Advisory Services (RAS) operations overseeing national bank clients.
From 1989-1992 he was Vice President in the Asset-Based Lending Division of Wells Fargo Bank.
Prior to his position at Wells Fargo, he served as a Corporate Banking Officer at PNC Bank in Washington, DC, from 1986-1989.
Mark graduated with a B.S. from Elon University in Business Administration and earned an MBA in Finance and International Business from The American University in 1986.
Mark also is a graduate of the ABA Stonier School of Banking.
