Brandon, Manitoba - The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings solved their overage question Sunday afternoon by trading 20-year old local product Mark Schneider to the Regina Pats in exchange for 18-year old forward Dominick Favreau.
A former member of the AAA Midget Wheat Kings, Schneider is in his fourth WHL season, having started his WHL career with the Kamloops Blazers in 2007. The 6'1" 190 lb. Schneider appeared in three games this season and was held without a point. During the 2009-10 campaign, the veteran bluelinder scored nine goals and 21 points in 60 games.
In 140 career WHL games, Schneider has scored thirteen goals and 27 points while accumulating 61 minutes in penalties.
"Mark will play an important role in Regina, and Jake will get a great opportunity on a very strong Saint John team.
