Mark Ryals is CEO / President and was MMCC's third employee in 1993.
Prior to joining Dr. Cornie permanently in New England, Mark received a bachelor of science degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and spent three years as a lab technician helping to develop the SiC pre-forming and foundry processes with P-Cast Technologies in Pittsburgh, PA, a small Al/SiC heat sink manufacturer eventually sold to PCC in Longmont, CO.
While at MMCC, Mark was the originator of MetGrafÔ composites for thermal management and successfully commercialized the product line into a number of commercial applications.
was also a key contributor in developing the company's high throughput pressure infiltration technology and was instrumental in aligning the company for its first major ($1M) commercial thermal management sale into two Boeing
satellite programs in 2000 , Spaceway and Wideband SATCOM.
Mark was mentored for several years by the company's former President, Robin Brumwell, who retired in 2006 and now consults with MMCC part time.
Prior to Rob Hay and Kevin Fennessy coming aboard in late 2007, Mark
handled commercial development and production operations.
Mark designed and launched MMCC's website www.metalmatrixcomposites.com and was the key driver in establishing the companies ISO 9001:2000 quality certification program.
Mark is co-inventor of several patents and patents pending and has authored or co-authored several papers, articles, reports, and business proposals.
