Mark Richards

Mark Richards is an Adjunct Professor and Principal Research Engineer within the School of Electrical And Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. Dr. Richards spent 20 years with the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), researching various aspects of radar signal processing and embedded signal processors. His last position there was Chief of the Radar Systems Division in GTRI's Sensors & Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory. In the mid-1990s, he served on loan to DARPA as the Program Manager for the Rapid Prototyping of Application Specific Signal Processors (RASSP) program.
In 2002, Dr. Richards transferred to ECE, where he concentrates on teaching academic and distance learning courses, continues research in embedded processing and radar imaging, and aids in federal research development for the School and Institute. He served as General Chair of the IEEE 2001 Radar Conference.

During a hearing yesterday involving a motion to throw out the recorded interviews Ahmed gave to investigators, FBI Agent Mark Richards admitted for the first time in any public venue, through his testimony, that AHMED & SADEQUEE "met with several of the 17 people charged in a June 2006 Canadian terrorism sweep."
Agent Richards testified that the footage taken by Syed AHMED and Ehsanul SADEQUEE were found on a computer belonging to Younis Tsouli, a Moroccan-born resident of the UK who pleaded guilty in Britain last July to inciting others to commit acts of terrorism.
AHMED, born in Pakistan, was a Georgia Tech student at the time of his arrest.
