Mark Olson (CEO/Founder of MRM)
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State University-Long Beach. While working on his graduate thesis in Clinical Nutrition, Mark worked as a research nutritionist at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, which exposed him to a wide array of medical disciplines. Integration of nutritional protocols into both wellness and treatment of disease states were of particular interest, and eventually informed his need to research and understand both alternative medicine and Eastern medical practices.
Mark also spent years in the nutritional products industry consulting with branded sports supplement companies and natural ingredients manufacturers. Frustrated with the overall lack of research in the sports supplement industry, he founded Chemi-Source, and in 1996, developed a "physicians-only" supplement line driven by all-natural ingredients. Later that year, he founded Metabolic Response Modifiers (MRM) to bring high quality wellness and sports supplement formulas to retail shelves in 1996. Since then, MRM has funded numerous human clinical trials at major universities across the United States and abroad.
As MRM's catalog of health, wellness and performance products grow, Mark has become ever more committed to investment in clinical validation and to the development of proprietary blends that support ideal health and quality of life Although research offers exciting new insights into nutritional well-being, Mark's passion continues to be directed toward quality of life - both for customers worldwide, and for his family of MRM employees and associates.

Besides a longtime friendship with MRM founder Mark Olson, this is the common ground upon which both men stand together.
"Clarks was one of our first customers in 1996, and while they've been in business about twice as long as we have, I find we share many of the same philosophies about quality, customer satisfaction - and especially about the importance of educating people on nutrition and what matters," said MRM founder Mark Olson.
Recently, Mark had a chance to chew the fat with Starkie at Clarks, and introduce this exceptional educator to MRM followers. (See the full video interview here:
On the Importance of Education:
"We spend a lot of effort in education for our staff so customers can make an educated decision about their nutritional needs," Starkie told Mark recently.
"Mark Olson has been my colleague, my brother in faith, and a fellow surfer for years.

asked Mark Olson, vice president of research and development at Metabolic Response Modifiers (MRM)."Or does that mean if you have it in your kitchen, you're supposed to dispose of it, otherwise [the police] can come into your house and arrest you?"Olson reported that in his last call to the FDA, the agency told him it is maintaining a "hands off" attitude toward andro.
Though the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been regulating the sale of andro, the issue has recently been handed over to a division of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

Mark Olson, CEO of Chemi-Source/MRM, told us that the company has studied the effects of Digest-All on amino acid absorption of animal and plant proteins in cooperation with the University of Tampa.
"Digest-All changes the amount of amino acids being absorbed and the absorption kinetics," he explained.
Wellmune®: Natural Immune System Booster [cached]
Overtraining that routinely occurs before an athletic event may also suppress immune function, said Mark Olson, MRM Founder and President. “We chose Wellmune for our product because not only is it safe for every day use, but it has unmatched ability to support an athlete’s immune health in both situations.
