Beginning his career working with inertial guidance systems in engineering and R&D operations management at a subsidiary of General Motors, Mark carried the tenets of finance and lean manufacturing to maritime shipping at Sea-Land to reduce cost, and introduced the re-engineering methodology from Sea-Land to Welbilt Corporation, a holding company of foodservice equipment manufacturing companies to create synergistic opportunities driving profitability.
He has also worked with Aston Associates, a leading business-redesign consulting firm.

Mark graduated with an MBA degree focusing on Finance and Operations Management from Columbia University, holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Northwestern University, and is certified in Lean Manufacturing.
