After only four months employment at local bus operator, Stagecoach North East, Northumbrian University graduate Mark Middleton has been promoted to the position of marketing assistant.
24-year old Mark, from Seaburn in Sunderland, impressed the commercial and marketing team with his marketing skills and customer focus, when he was employed in December 2013 as a Customer Communications Assistant.
As part of this role, Mark was involved in the region-wide rollout of the local bus company's Twitter page, and managed the social media platform on a daily basis.
Through this experience, Mark
was able to develop his
marketing expertise and knowledge of the company and is now able to transfer the skills gained to his
As marketing assistant, Mark is involved in all aspects of delivering the company's marketing strategy, including public relations, advertising, social media, research and customer relations.
works closely with the marketing manager to support the marketing and commercial department, planning and delivering communications campaigns and liaising with external agencies.
Before working at Stagecoach North East, Mark gained experience of customer relations and marketing at roles in Waitrose as customer services assistant, and a marketing administrator at Megabus UK, a Stagecoach-owned company.
