County Executive Edward A. Diana recently called Mark Mannix, Director of Government and Community Relations for MTA, and requested removal of seven railroad cars that had been parked on Metro-North Railroad tracks in the City of Port Jervis West End.I commend Mark Mannix and the MTA for helping to keep the West End of Port Jervis safer."The railroad cars will eventually be scrapped in the Midwest.

On Thursday, May 19th, the MNRCC greeted riders outside the Station Master's Office in Grand Central Terminal (GCT) from 4:30-6:30pm. The event replaced the Council's regular May meeting. On hand to speak with riders were members Jim Blair, David Buchwald and Randy Glucksman. They were assisted by Executive Director Bill Henderson, and Research Associate Karyl Berger.  Special thanks also go to Gabriella Vazquez, MNR Special Events Coordinator, GCT, and Mark Mannix, Senior Director of Corporate and Community Affairs, for their invaluable assistance in arranging this program.
