A 65-year-old White Pigeon man arrested this week for allegedly restricting and assaulting a 10-year-old neighbor with a dangerous weapon is not considered a "person of interest" in the Parrack homicide, said Constantine Police Chief Mark Honeysett.
"But that doesn't mean we won't be investigating him," Honeysett
said, referring to Daniel Kevin Furlong, of White Pigeon.
According to Honeysett
, Furlong, who may have lived in Constantine
at the time of the Parrack murder, was not among the several hundred people, including children, from whom DNA samples had been collected since 2007.
said Parrack-case investigators "have not had any significant tips in quite a while."
