Mark Honeysett, Constantine village manager, said Rexam's closing "will take a toll emotionally, mentally and financially on the community.
"They're our biggest employer," Honeysett
"It's an institution in the village.
It's tragic for the people who work there - some of them for many, many years."
It will also affect local merchants, he
still has hope.
As a member of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the St. Joseph Economic Development Corporation, he said he will continue to talk with Rexam officials about the plan.
"We're not done trying," Honeysett
