IWillAgain.com is inspired by the experience of its founder, Mark Hager, a running enthusiast who was gravely injured in 2008 when a truck flew through a stop sign and ran him down.
spent weeks in the intensive care unit and in the months that followed experienced a swift physical recovery.
full recovery began only when a family friend reached out and suggested that he
and Mark jointly set a goal to run a 10K race.
"I deeply believe that once medical care is over, the fullness of final recovery is driven by the strength of an individual's internal will," said Mark Hager
"It was the encouragement and inspiration of my family, friends and other athletes with similar experiences that helped rekindle my fire.
It is this same community of supporters that keeps it burning today."
is a community where athletes at all levels, even those who were not involved in an activity prior to experiencing an accident, illness or injury, can share their experiences, publicly set new goals and eventually motivate others with their shared triumph.
"A little more than a year and a half ago I didn't know if I would be able to run again," said Mark Hager
