Attracts Local Leader, Mark Bistricky
as New Head of School

The Tesseract School Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Mark Bistricky as the new Head of School beginning July 1, 2014. Â Tesseract is an independent school with campuses in Paradise Valley and Phoenix, Arizona. Â Tesseract inspires students from pre-school through twelfth grade to realize their individual potential by preparing them for the 21st century.
Bistricky is currently Head of School at Valley Christian High School in Chandler, Arizona. Â During his three year tenure, Bistricky incorporated a mindset of professional excellence in all aspects of the school's operation, increased academic rigor by embracing research-based best practices in every classroom to support student learning and teaching in every subject area and increased enrollment by almost 20% from 2012 to 2013.
has ten years of education leadership experience in both California and Arizona.
Bistricky's appointment follows a national and international search to identify the right leader who will bring vision and passion to advance Tesseract Schoolâ€™s mission. Â The Board of Trustees engaged national educational search firm Carney Sandoe & Associates over the past six months to assist. Â The search committee, led by board vice-chair Jack Padovano, reviewed over 126 candidates and conducted extensive interviews with a broad range of highly qualified finalists prior to selecting Bistricky. Â

Â He is a person of remarkable character, compassion, and foresight and will work closely with the trustees to take our School to even higher standards of excellence.â€
