Mark has substantial experience in food industry bankruptcies, representing clients at each stage of the supply chain from provider, processor, transporter, wholesaler, retailer and lenders to each of the above. Mark has also been involved in representing creditors in large fraud and Ponzi scheme cases and was instrumental in forging a settlement in the In re George Young case, the largest cattle fraud scheme in U.S. history. He served on the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee to the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri, 2000-2002.
After graduating from law school, Mark was a law clerk for the Honorable Frank W. Koger, former Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Missouri and Chief Judge for the 8th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel from 1993-1994.
Mark was voted a Missouri & Kansas "Super Lawyers®" in the area of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights law, 2006-2009. Mark was also listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtors Rights law, 2007 & 2009-2010.
