After five years in account management he
moved to marketing consultancy, Media Dimensions, to develop promotional partner campaigns for UK film distributors.
In 1992, Mark
was part of the team that delivered the UK's first generic cinema marketing partnership, uniting AIM
(All Industry Marketing) with TSB Bank
for a two-year collaboration. In 1998, he joined the management board of the British Film Institute, where he worked as group leader on such initiatives as The bfi 100, Puffin on Screen and the Institute's then largest-ever sponsorship campaign with Accenture.
In 2001, Mark
was recruited for his
current post as Chief Executive of Film Distributors' Association
(then Society of Film Distributors).FDA members' releases account for approximately 97% of UK cinema admissions.
