Marc Ackerman
Chief Legal Officer
Marc Ackerman
Marc joined Tough Mudder as chief lawyer after spending twenty years at some of the most prominent law firms and representing some of the top sports brands on the planet. At Cravath, White & Case and O'Melveny, Marc advised the likes of the National Football League, National Hockey League, ESPN, FIFA and Major League Soccer. For Marc, moving from the comforts of BigLaw to the excitement of the next great sports brand proved irresistible.
Marc grew up in the New York suburbs and attended Yale University, where he studied Political Science while setting and hitting outside for the Yale Mens Volleyball team. His next stop was Greenwich Village, where he somehow managed to balance exploring the many amazing neighborhood restaurants and music venues with getting his law degree at NYU. After sixteen years in Manhattan, Marc returned to the suburbs, where he can still be found playing competitive volleyball and going to hear great music, as well as playing guitar and serving on his local community council.
