Marija has spent many years supervising people and has used her experience and knowledge to develop supervision workshops for community partners and conferences, including "Supervision - the Key to Good Practice".
Marija has coordinated the Field Education program at the Department of Social Work, Monash University since 2008 and has been part of the development and expansion of Supervised Professional Practice across the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work (Qualifying) degrees.
Marija teaches social work theory and skills, mental health, management and working with complexity. Marija is the voluntary Secretary of the Serbian Community Association of Australia, an organisation she established in 1992 as a result of the war in the former Yugoslavia.
She volunteered at SCAAB between 1987 and 1988. Her passion and commitment to working with diversity is reflected in her core social work values, teaching, mentoring and supervision.

Marija Dragic, J.P, BSW (RMIT), MSW (Monash) has spent her social work career working with migrants and refugees and for the past nine years was Senior Social Worker/Settlement Manager at the South Eastern Region Migrant Resource Centre located in Dandenong, Melbourne.   The Dandenong area has a high concentration of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and is in the heart of refugee resettlement.  Marija co-ordinates the Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Social Work degree at the Peninsula campus and teaches Cross Cultural Social Work.  Marija continues her work with refugees and is a consultant to the Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau in their Refugee Brokerage Program.  Marija is the voluntary President of the Serbian Welfare Association of Victoria - an organisation she helped to establish in 1992 as a result of the war in the former Yugoslavia.
