...Dr. Margo Burns has worked in Education, Training and Professional Development for more than 25 years.She has served as an instructor, professor, department head, manager and director within a variety of educational institutions, national and international health organizations, federal government and the Naval Reserves. Dr. Burns has a combined Doctorate in Education and Public Health from Northern Illinois University.She is also a qualified Respiratory Therapist with specialization in trauma and asthma education.
Since graduating with her
doctorate in 1999, Dr. Burns
has combined her
health background with her
academic qualifications in developing curriculum for a variety of provincial, national and international organizations with particular emphasis on integrating technology into the learning environment Dr. Burns is presently employed by Holland College as the Manager of Educational Services.She
staff are involved in assisting learning managers in developing curriculum utilizing competency-based principles.In addition to providing training in designing curriculum, for the past five years she has been an adjunct professor for the University of San Diego, where her skills in delivery curriculum via the Internet are constantly challenged and refined.
