Marcus IronMark: How different is it working for Colt than with Falcon?Like maybe with Marcus Iron. A Conversation with Marcus Iron Hard to believe that Marcus Iron has been in this business for eight years.Like Lane Fuller, he did a lot of work for Falcon, and "Reload" is his first for Colt Studio.Mark: I understand you lived in New England for a while.Marcus: Yes - my partner and I lived in Provincetown for a couple of years. M:: Full time? Not much goes on in the winter.Marcus: It was kind of crazy. It's like a morgue in the winter. M: How many years have you been doing porn?Marcus: Eight years now.I enjoy it.I don't do a lot, maybe two or three movies a year. It's a fun hobby. M: Where are you from originally.Marcus: Montana. It's an exciting place, all right.I left at 16 for college.I lived in Boston for a year, and did bicycle tours all over this country and in Europe. It was a great way to see a lot of places in a fun way, and stay in shape.M: How did you get into porn?Marcus: It was a natural fit.I'm a really sexual guy with few hangups.A friend of mine hooked me up, and that was that.My first one was for Hot House called "Splashdown," it was sort of an alien-invasion porn.Brian Mills directed it.M: He's come a long way since that one.Marcus: I stayed with Falcon for the longest time, til John (Rutherford) moved over to Colt.I like working with John.I think Colt is a great fit for John.He lets guys be guys.M: You haven't changed much since you first started.Marcus: I have, I've gotten older.I take care of myself.Actually, I could probably use about six months of hard labor.I try to stay active wheher I'm hitting the gym or not.M: What's your favorite movie?Marcus: That's a tough one.My favorite scene was the first scene I did with Alex LeMonde for "Reload."That was really hot - we finiished the whole thing in about 35 minutes.I think that's a world record.M: Could be.Marcus: The second scene, a group scene, was a close second.I was really into the guys I was with, so it was easy. M: Did you get to pick the guys you played with in Falcon films?Marcus: More often, they would pair us up.I'm pretty easy going as far as who I work with - obvioulsy, some guys I'm into and some I'm not.If I'm not into the guy, I try to give it my best shot anyway.M: So to speak. You sound so easy-going that nothing is going to bother you anyway. Marcus: Yeah, that's kinda me. California's definitely taken hold of my attitude. M: How do you think the industry has changed over the years?Marcus: I think the biggest change overall is that there are more guys willing and able to do porn. The studios used to work hard to recruit, now guys a clammoring to do it.It's more accepted now. M: Any guys in particular you'd like to work with?Marcus: Everybody I worked with, we got along well.It will be interesting to see who John signs on in the next year or two. He's got a good eye. M: What do you do in your real life?Marcus: I'm a garden designer. Marcus: I was in a relationship for five years. We broke up about two years ago, but we're still really close. He's not in the business.M: No interest in it?Marcus: He showed up on a couple of sets to help out off screen.Chi Chi begged him several times to work on-screen, but it just wasn't his thing. M: More work coming up with Colt?Marcus: Well, it's up to John, but hopefully.I'm making myself available.
